Indian Wine Standards

In response to public input and pursuant to the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India introduces amendments to the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Regulations, 2018. The draft of these regulations, known as the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Amendment Regulations, 2019, was initially published for public scrutiny on July 5, 2019. Following a thirty-day period for objections and suggestions, which concluded on July 15, 2019, the Authority has carefully reviewed the feedback received. In accordance with the authority vested by clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 92 of the aforementioned Act, the following amendments are now implemented.
